Christmas Craft - 3D Cookie TreesThis is a fun decorating activity and the kids can help create a fun holiday centerpiece made up of festive 3D Christmas trees and a perfect addition to your home or the kid's table. You'll need a box of ice cream sugar cones, frosting and small red candies or other sprinkles. To make this super easy, buy two cans of ready-to-use white frosting, and tint one with green food coloring. The decorator frosting in squeezable tubes can also make it easier for little ones to apply frosting decorations to the trees. Turn the sugar cones upside down and have your child spread the green frosting over the outside of the cones. Use the white frosting or tube frosting to add garlands or strings of "lights". Now, decorate the trees using red candies, sanding sugar and other decorating sprinkles. Assemble the forest of decorated trees on a cake platter sprinkled with a layer of coconut or granulated sugar to simulate snow. This holiday centerpiece is not only fun to make, but delicious to eat. Enjoy! |
